Carroll Bassett
Owner & CTO, Ezebreak, LLC
Carroll Bassett is the owner and founder of Ezebreak, LLC, manufacturer of the Micro-Blaster™ line of products and accessories. As the inventor of the Micro-Blaster™ system, Carroll has guided the product from initial concept to worldwide distribution, combining hands-on engineering expertise with a commitment to solving real-world challenges in rock and concrete breaking.
Carroll’s entrepreneurial journey began in 1981 with the formation of BMS, a company originally dedicated to designing and producing fabricated metal furniture and sculpture. In the 1990s, BMS evolved to produce rescue equipment and other niche-market products. In 2002, Carroll began developing the Micro-Blaster™ line, launching manufacturing and sales in late 2004. Ezebreak, LLC was established in October 2006 after BMS licensed the product line to the new company.
In 2005, Carroll was honored as a Laureate in the Economic Development category by the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, California. Under his leadership, Ezebreak, LLC has earned multiple West Virginia Export Awards for its contributions to international trade.
Carroll continues to lead research and product design for the Micro-Blaster™ line, providing technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for customers worldwide. He is trained and certified in hazardous materials and dangerous goods handling and holds a Federal Explosives License from the ATF.
Beyond his professional work, Carroll is a lifelong caver and an active member of the West Virginia Association for Cave Studies. He is also a wood turner and photographer, pursuing creative projects that reflect his appreciation for craftsmanship and the natural world. A resident of Greenbrier County, West Virginia, since the early 1990s, Carroll has deep ties to the region where Ezebreak, LLC continues to grow and innovate.
